Reno - The Biggest Little City in the World. Lights, hoes and loot; all hyped up with chronic being illegal and booze and slot machines available anytime - anywhere. Just a 180 flip, a switch hardflip, and a fat gap ollie away from the pristine waters of Lake Tahoe. We came to Reno for it's more underground qualities, like Idlewild Park on the sacred Tru-Kee River. In it's confines is housed a fake ice Rink, a splendid pond, and a good 5000 square foot cement skatepark. This skate park is setup like a heavy weight boxing match. In the left corner, is none other than the big bad bruiser, the steel lipped puncher, the round clown capsule bowl with fat-steel lips and a mini-shallow end for groms. In the right corner is the fat popper, the booster extraordinary, a 90 degree 4-foot hip with a nice booster at takeoff. Refereeing the bout of these two bruisers is the horseshoe shaped 60ft long quaterpipe; with a transition pump box in the center. The fight begins anytime you want, all you need is a skateboard, some shoes, and a little heart. So come visit Reno for it's more apical qualities and skip the booze and gambling.
