December 1st came with 8-17 inches of fresh powder and blue skies. There was not much of a base under the new snow, so not that much opened up. Mother Nature was just getting started, December 4th was the best day so far this year in the Tahoe region. This day was so perfect with a couple of feet of dry smokey wind-buff and clear skies; all the ingredients for a beautiful cold blue bird day. |
| The nice quantity and quality of the early snow enabled Squaw to open up our beloved KT 22 on Friday December 4th. Un-arguably 2000 vertical feet of some of the best direct lift access terrain in North America. | ![]() Unidentified Skier Down a Finger |
