Snow Sports Action from the Mountain to Your Computer
Saturday, February 13th 1999
We received 8-10 feet of snow earlier this week, the Presidents day weekend, and the fact that the weather has mellowed - this all adds up to what could be the biggest 3 days of the year. Most locals are busy at their service jobs and usually choose to ride the backcountry on big weekends. This is a good thing because they will leave more parking spaces for the ticket buying public. Once you have navigated the weekend traffic and parked your car, it is not very hard to avoid the lift lines at Squaw when you learn where to go. I recommend Squaw Creek, Squaw One Express, Riviera, High Camp, Solitude, and Silverado chairs that usually have little to no lines even on the busiest days. Please drive safe, be courteous to your fellow skiers/boarders, and Have Fun!

9' of new snow, the upper mountain had been closed for days, and then blue bird sunshine. It does not get much better!
