Snow Sports Action from the Mountain to Your Computer
Monday, February 8th 1999
Today was a snorkel depth lower mountain day with continuous face-shots. The temperature was not that low, but the snow was coming down so fast that many turns went below para-scope depth by the afternoon. This can leave one in doubt about where to throw the next turn - a quick skigi on the fly to clear the face-shot residuals off your goggle lense and point it throw the glades in the trees for more and more of the same. It is still dumping and tomorrow could be another deep one, so bring your snorkel or at least a neck gator. PEEPS, shovel, and probe should be standard issue for enthusiasts on days like these and everyone should ride with a buddy. Be safe and have fun!

Well the pineapple express is upon us. That means high winds and that varying snow level that have limited operations. The snow is really piling up and it will take hours if not days to get the upper mountain going when the weather finally breaks.
